Innovation in the Cyber-Physical Systems and Industrial IOT domain

A full day workshop where we focus on key ingredients that will help your innovations fly; Technology Platforms, Prototyping, Open Innovation and Access to funding.

The workshop is directed towards innovative companies (start-ups, SMEs, Corp) working with software-intensive embedded systems or cyber-physical systems. The workshop has the goal to provide networking opportunities as well as guiding you among innovation support available by various companies and organizations; from technology platforms, innovation coaching to funding.

Date: October 31st, 09.00-16.30, with lunch 12.00-13.00. 

Venue: KTH, Brinellvägen 85 Stockholm

Program (short presentations but with main emphasis on discussions):

09.00 – 09.30 Introduction (introducing the scope and topics - setting the scene)

09.30 – 11.00 Barriers and opportunities in CPS and IIoT innovation; inspiration talks and discussions

Discussion forum with the purpose to elicit needs from SME’s – what are the barrier and needs they perceive for CPS innovation? What can we do to resolve this? (we will divide into groups)

11.00 – 11.45 Summery and recap of the discussions

12:00 - 13:00 Lunch Break 

13:00 – 14:00 What can KTH and partners offer?

Short presentations from regional innovation players including offerings/opportunities (funding, advice, incubators, competence networks, resources) related to CPS (platforms treated in the following session) including:

THINGS, VINNOVA, KTH INNOVATION, EIT DIGITAL, Vinnova Innovation Programs, KTH resources including the Prototyping lab and the Integrated Transport Research Lab. 


14:00 – 15:30 CPS platform opportunities
Platform showcasing with presentations of open CPS platforms - contact us if you are interested to pitch your platform.  


15:30 – 16:30 Networking interactions with collaboration and opportunity discussions with refreshments
