Digitalized industry – Part 1 Workshop focusing on Opportunities in Horizon Europé and Insights into industrial challenges (part 1)

2021-11-09 @ 09:00 - 12:00

You are cordially invited to join this workshop in two parts.  The preliminary aim is a physical meeting at KTH, with a fallback as a hybrid/online meeting. The physical venue takes 30 people.

Lunch will be served for those registered for the physical meeting.

In the first workshop part, the focus is on opportunities in Horizon Europé, the continuation of the H2020 EU program, which recently started. The program is very large with many different parts.

We here focus on dissemination and discussing concrete calls and opportunities in the area most relevant for Digitalized industry.

Another focus will be on best practices and how KTH can support proposal efforts. Bring your questions and ideas!

In the second part, a couple of industrial organizations will be sharing insights from their industrial roadmaps. We will also come back to the Horizon Europe and partnership program opportunities, and open up for a discussion regarding the industrial needs and project proposal opportunities.

The workshop is particularly directed towards new and young KTH faculty, but also open to all interested.

Preliminary agenda part 1 – Insights into Horizon Europe: 09.00 – 11.30

– 09.00: Short introduction (Martin Törngren)

– 09.05: Overview and opportunities: Horizon Europe, Cluster 4 (Digital, industry and space) and related partnership programs (Lars Gustafsson, Vinnova)

– Incl. Q&A!

09.50: Panel debate – Key takeaways and experiences from European research projects: Panel discussion with representatives from industry and KTH (Mikael Östling – KTH, Magnus Isaksson – RTE, large companies – currently tentatively with ABB and Ericsson)

The topic is intended to inspire and provide experiences regarding what to think about when initiating (going for) an EU research project and how to implement it. Strengthening Swedish participation and collaboration in the context of EU research is also another important concern.

10.40-10.55: Coffee

10.55 – 11.20: How KTH can support proposers (Anna Raask, KTH Research support office)

11.20: Workshop wrap up, concluding discussion

After lunch, the workshop continues on the topic of industrial roadmaps (the second workshop part).

For questions, you are welcome to contact Martin Törngren

The event is a co-organized event by Digital Futures, the KTH platforms for Digitalization and Industrial Transformation, and the ICES and TECoSA research centers.
